South Carolina Baseball is winding down for the Fall, and with that comes the Garnet and Black World Series. Earlier in the week the Gamecocks held a draft to determine which players would be on which team.

Eli Jones (Black) and Jevarra Martin (Garnet) were today’s game one starters. The game saw a total of 6 pitchers hit the bump. Garnet struck first on an RBI single from Tyler Zedalis, scoring Jonathan French. Ethan Petry (Black) would later tie things up 4-4 with a two-run homer to left in the bottom of the fifth. The game went into the seventh inning tied, but Garnet would get the insurance they needed and ultimately win 8-4 over Black.
