South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer and offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains teased changes this week and it looks like that will happen.

The Gamecocks appear to be reshuffling its offensive line heading into Saturday’s game against Florida. Nick Gargiulo was taking first-team snaps at center pregame with Tree Babalade (left) and Vershon Lee (right) at the tackle spots.

Freshman Trovon Baugh and Trai Jones–who was previously at tackle–were playing at guard. It would be Jones’s first start of the year.

Final South Carolina injury report before Florida game

South Carolina used its bye week to get healthy, and it seems like the Gamecocks are the healthiest they’ve been until this season.

Juice Wells won’t play this weekend against Florida, Shane Beamer said on his weekly Carolina Calls radio show with Todd Ellis. But the Gamecocks should get back some banged-up pieces this week.

Wells is still out dealing with that foot injury he re-aggravated during a touchdown catch and run against Georgia. Beamer said the injury is healing at a “great rate” and it’s about when he’s 100 percent and the staff feels good about putting him out there.

Beamer mentioned this week it’s healing well and Wells met again with a specialist in Charlotte this week.

The only player who is out this weekend for sure, Beamer said, is Jaxon Hughes. Hughes walked-on out of the portal from Charlotte this offseason and is in the rotation at both tackle positions.

Jakai Moore, TJ Sanders, David Spaulding and OD Fortune were some of the many guys playing through some bang-ups and Beamer mentioned at various points this week those guys should be available this weekend against Florida.

Moore missed the Tennessee game entirely with Trovon Baugh starting in his place. Sanders missed most of the fourth quarter against Tennessee and Spaulding’s been banged up most of the year.

Fortune dealt with a knee injury against both Mississippi State and Tennessee and was in-and-out of the game against the Bulldogs. Judge Collier’s been the Gamecocks’ cornerback when Fortune isn’t in the game.

Beamer mentioned earlier in the week both were limited over the bye but practiced Tuesday. Cason Henry–while still out this week–is on the mend. He is progressing well off that knee injury he sustained four plays into the season.
