South Carolina football: two players not with the program

South Carolina has two players Shane Beamer said are not currently with the program with no timetable for return.
Beamer said after Saturday’s spring game both Rico Powers and Jamaal Whyce are not with the team.
When asked if the two would be back with the program in the fall, Beamer said they’ll address that as things get closer to the start of training camp.
Powers was a four-star prospect coming out of high school and played sparingly in two seasons. He played in 11 total games, catching four passes for 31 yards. He only played in two games last year with two catches.
