South Carolina’s quest for a third national championship begins Thursday with Practice Day, more colloquially known as media day.

Thursday is the first day all four teams officially practice at Colonial Life Arena for their first-round games. (Although Presbyterian got a head start by playing in the First Four game.)

South Carolina’s media availability is from 12:25 to 1:00 pm. Availability consists of a formal press conference with Dawn Staley and two starters. The rest of the players are available in an open locker room.

The Gamecocks practice at 1:10 pm. The first 15 minutes are open to the media. Practice is not open to the public.

South Carolina begins its pursuit of a fourth consecutive Final Four appearance on Friday. The top overall seed in the tournament, South Carolina plays #16 Presbyterian at approximately 2:00 pm, or 30 minutes following the game between #8 North Carolina and #9 Michigan State.

South Carolina beat Presbyterian 99-29 earlier this season. The Blue Hose, who are making their first NCAA Tournament appearance, also got their first win by beating Sacred Heart 49-42 on Wednesday night.
