Video Breakdown: TE Connor Cox commits to South Carolina

Three-star TE Connor Cox has committed to South Carolina. The Jacksonville native was the second #WelcomeHome tweet from Shane Beamer on Sunday.

At 6-5 220 pounds, Cox is ranked 32nd overall for his position for the class of 2023. A position that following this season the gamecocks will certainly need to add to depth to.

In five games last season, Cox hauled in seven receptions for 148 yards and a touchdown. But his production as a pass catcher is just one facet of his game as he plays physical and embraces making blocks both on the interior and out on the perimeter. A quality South Carolina has grown accustomed to seeing over the years from their long list of successful tight ends.
