Tennessee cruised to a 72-17 victory on Saturday inside of Neyland Stadium, and the Vols’ true Freshmen got plenty of action. Volquest takes a look at who got to participate, and how they fared.

Tennessee true freshman David Sanders was still sidelined with an upper body injury. We will see if he gets his first college action this week against Georgia. Numerous other 2025 signees got plenty of opportunity.

Tennessee Freshmen Reach Checkerboard for first time against ETSU

Tennessee running back Daune Morris saw more opportunities this week, and he made the most of the carries he got. He averaged over five yards per carry. He carried the ball nine times for 48 yards and one score.

Additionally, Freshman tight end Jack Van Dorselaer also scored for the first time of his career. Van Dorselaer hauled in a seven yard reception in the red zone and made his way into the end zone for the first time of his career as a Vol.

Other stats to note

Justin Baker picked up 40 yards rushing on 11 carries.

Radarious Jackson hauled in three passes receptions for 35 yards.

Travis Smith hauled in two catches for 20 yards.

Joakim Dodson caught one pass for 27 yards.

Sidney Walton, Ty Redmond, Jaedon Harmon, Mariyon Dye, and Charles House recorded two total tackles. House also recorded a tackle for loss.

Tre Poteat and Isaiah Campbell also recorded a tackle.
