Tennessee Baseball Aj Causey Breaks Down His Performance Against Missouri

All 10 runs for Tennessee Thursday night came via the home run as the Vols wasted no time in taking control of the series, handling Missouri 10-1 on Thursday from Lindsey Nelson Stadium in Southeastern Conference action.

UT (35-7, 13-6 SEC) sent home runs flying in each of the first, second, third, fourth and sixth innings. The Tigers (19-23, 6-13 SEC) managed 10 hits on the night but couldn’t find home plate while falling in shutout fashion.

AJ Causey (7-3) earned the win on the mound for the Volunteers after tossing six innings of relief where he allowed just one run off six hits. Starter Ryan Magdic (1-2) is the loser in the ballgame after allowing five runs off three hits in three innings of work.

Billy Amick homered twice and drove in four in the win. The junior has now homered twice in each of the past two games.

Tennessee and Missouri will get after it for game two of the series on Friday at 6:30 pm eastern time, but first, here’s how it all went down on Thursday for the Big Orange.
