ESPN on Thursday announced Candace Parker will be the guest picker for College GameDay on Saturday morning in Knoxville. The pregame show will broadcast live from the lawn in front of Ayres Hall on The Hill on Tennessee’s campus.

No. 15 Tennessee (2-0) and No. 6 Georgia kickoff on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 Eastern Time (TV: ABC) in the SEC opener for both teams, with the Vols looking to end an eight-game losing streak against the rival Bulldogs.

GameDay is in Knoxville for the third time during the Josh Heupel era and Tennessee is hoping for the same result as the past two trips. ESPN was also in town for the home wins over Florida and Alabama during the 2022 season.

The Vols that season beat Alabama 52-49 on a walk-off field goal from Chase McGrath to end a 15-game losing streak to the Crimson Tide. Tennessee beat Alabama at home again last season, giving the Vols wins in two of the last three meetings in the Third Saturday in October.

Tennessee beat Florida 38-33 in September 2022, ending a run of five straight losses to the Gators and 16 losses in 17 games.
