BREAKING: Big-Time IMG Academy OL Breck Kolojay Commits to USC

During the spring, four-star IMG Academy IOL Breck Kolojay took official visits to Oklahoma, Colorado, Ohio State, Miami, Georgia, USC on June 17-19 and his final official was to Tennessee June 20-22.
On Friday Kolojay announced his commitment to USC. Although we were told it was a USC vs Miami battle back in June, Georgia was thought to be a strong contender.
“They constantly recruited me, the relationships I’ve built with USC over the past couple of months were fantastic,” Kolojay told Rivals. “It’s just where my heart is at. I never made it about money or anything, it’s where I see myself. The opportunity in L.A. is pretty insane. It also allows me to be closer to home.
“We want to build USC up to a national championship team again under Coach Riley.”
The steady rise for the Big Ten program came through many channels, beginning with head coach and of course the future position coach.
“With Coach Riley and their plan for me, it’s really cool,” Kolojay said. “They want me to play guard but end up being a center. They just love the way I think and how I play ball in terms of me being a student of the game, plus my physicality and dominance.
“I really trust in Zach Hanson. He’s a younger O-line coach but he has developed a couple guys that are dominant in the NFL. I trust in Coach Riley’s offense and the stuff he has and what he has planned for the future.”
In early June, Miami had a huge lead per the On3 RPM after a prediction was submitted for the Canes by our Miami site publisher Gary Ferman.
USC tight end commit Mark Bowman and Kolojay officially visited USC together back in June. That certainly didn’t hurt the chances for the Trojans. They both played youth football together in Colorado with USC offensive line commit Kannon Smith. We’re told Bowman was the quarterback.

Kolojay, Bowman and Smith have known each other since they played against each other in Colorado in third grade. A few years later they were teammates and Bowman was their quarterback.
“He had some pull with Breck,” Kolojay’s father said about Bowman.
Keenyi Pepe & Kolojay remain teammates at USC
“I really see something special with USC, especially with the recruiting class and me coming in with Bowman and Pepe,” he said. “Also a couple other guys that are either from Colorado, or that I know.
“It’s special with Pep. Me and him have a really good relationship as we’ve played together for three years. I think there’s a lot of non-verbal communication that goes with playing next to him, a trust we’ve built together.”
What Kolojay was looking for
“I will go where I feel most at home,” he said. “Every school on my list has everything any player wants… I can go to the NFL from any school, so it will be about the heart. Some schools throw big numbers out in the NIL, and that is something my advisor (Cliff Hill) handles, but that will not be a huge factor for me. If you ball, you will get paid.”
