Big-Time Long Beach (CA) Poly Linebacker Dylan Williams wasn’t the first 2024 prospect to commit to USC, but he was definitely considered a top priority target for the Trojans.

Coach Donte Williams led the early effort for Lincoln Riley and Williams’s April 11 verbal pledge was huge to the Trojans.

Although Williams seemed very locked in with his commitment when we spoke a few weeks ago at Long Beach Poly, Williams announced his decommitment today.

“I would like to thank the University of Southern California and the coaching staff for the opportunity to further my education and play at the next level. Also to all the fans for the support.

“After extensive talks with my family, I have decided to recommit and open my recruitment.

“USC will still remain a top school for me throughout the process.”

This decommitmet comes after several new offers have come in and plans to take several visits this offseason.

USC loses one of the leaders of the 2024 class

Since April 11 Williams has been on campus at USC several times, he’s consistently repping USC gear everywhere he goes and living life as a proud USC Trojan commit. This is a kid who’s the epitome of “ALL IN” for USC.

“The thing was, I always wanted to go to USC. It’s my dream school. So when USC offered, I knew that’s where I was going.”
