On March 23 the USC staff hosted several of the top defensive linemen in the nation. Five-Star Georgia commit Justus Terry, Five-Star Elijah Griffin from Savannah (GA), Four-Star Isaiah Gibson from Warner Robbins (GA), Dilan Battle, Corey Adams from New Orleans (LA) and Edge Justin Hill from Cincinnati (OH) all too March 23 USC unofficial visits.

This was the first visit for several of them, but all have June official visits set. We figured if commitments came it would be after those visits, but USC got a huge commitment from 4-Star Warner Robbins (GA) DL Isaiah Gibson on Saturday night.

The Trojans are looking to sign a healthy sized class in 2025 and are in the mix for many of the elite prospects in the country. Obviously a long way to go, but the Trojans haven’t had this amount of serious interest from Top-End defensive line recruits in two decades #DAWGWORK.

All of the defensive linemen scheduled for USC official visits are coming on for June 7-9 or June 21-23 weekends. So far there are a total of 10 top defensive line targets set for official visits.

WeAreSC is expecting another huge commitment announcement tonight as well.

A month ago the only mention USC got from On3 was that Gibson had visited Oregon when they beat the Trojans. Gibson hadn’t scheduled any official visits, but he felt he knew of four schools that would be getting them. They are ClemsonGeorgiaOklahoma and Oregon

“I really love the culture and the coaching at these four schools,” Gibson told On3. “What makes me want to be a part of these programs is everything that they have to offer.”

Gibson visited Oklahoma on Feb. 3, Georgia on Jan. 13 and Oregon on Nov. 11 for the Ducks’ game against USC. The 6-foot-5, 257-pound pass rusher has also been to Clemson once.

Gibson’s contacts at these programs include Bulldogs outside linebackers coach Chidera Uzo-Diribe, Ducks defensive coordinator/linebackers coach Tosh Lupoi, Sooners defensive ends coach Miguel Chavis and Tigers defensive ends coach Chris Rumph. These connections will likely end up playing key roles in the recruitment of the No. 20 player in Georgia

“Relationships and how life is outside of football matters to me,” said Gibson, the No. 148 overall prospect and No. 148 prospect in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking. “I also want to see everything a school has to offer other than football.”
