From the Press Box: IMHO Sunday – New No. 8 Trojans survive ASU in unimpressive win, Buffs next

In my humble opinion, cardinal and gold views on what I saw, what I heard, and what I thought from Los Angeles after USC’s struggling 42-28 win over depleted ASU (1-3, 0-1 Pac-12) on Saturday night in Tempe... Nobody asked me, but…The new No. 6 USC Trojans (4-0, 2-0 Pac-12), a 42-28 survivor winner over ASU on Saturday night, should be thanking their lucky stars that they weren’t playing Washington, Oregon, Utah, or Notre Dame for that matter... The residual effects of the game in the release of Sunday's new AP Top 25 poll showed that the Trojans dropped to No. 8 from No. 5 in the country. It could have been worse, given that Riley publicly attributed some of his team's issues on Saturday night to "shitty coaching." In the latest AP poll, the Trojans' future opponents are Washington (No. 7), Oregon (No. 9), Utah (No. 10), and Notre Dame (No. 11). Yikes...
