The Nov. 1 game between the USC Trojans and Nebraska Cornhuskers will kick off at 6:30 pm local time (4:30 pm PT) and air live on NBC.

USC will be coming off a bye week and will be looking to bounce back from a tough loss at Notre Dame this past weekend. Nebraska will host Northwestern this coming weekend and the game against USC will be the Cornhuskers’ fifth-straight Saturday with a game.

It’ll be interesting to see how Nebraska plays against a suddenly hot Northwestern team that has won four games in a row, most recently a 19-0 shutout of Purdue. Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule was one of the first names mentioned when national media speculated about possibilities for the now-vacant Penn State head coaching position. Nebraska responded later that week by getting beat at Minnesota, 24-6.

USC is undefeated against Nebraska all-time, winning five games and tying once. The Trojans won 49-31 the last time the two teams played in Lincoln as only three very late Nebraska touchdowns closed the scoring gap in what was a USC blowout win.

With USC’s losses at Illinois and Notre Dame, remaining games for the Trojans have moved into that “must-win” vicinity. This one at Nebraska is especially important for USC to get another Big Ten road win. USC is 1-1 in conference road games this season, 1-2 in overall road games. And the Trojans are just 1-5 in Big Ten road games outside of Los Angeles the past two seasons.
