Former USC offensive tackle Tony Boselli was voted into the 8-member class of the 2022 Pro Football Hall of Fame on Thursday. He will become the 14th USC player to be enshrined in Canton.

Boselli was a two-time All-American and four-year starter for the Trojans from 1991-1994.

He was selected No. 2 overall in the 1995 NFL Draft as the first-ever selection of the Jacksonville Jaguars franchise. A shoulder injury shortened his career, but he is still regarded as one of the best offensive tackles ever. Despite coming into the league halfway through the ’90s, he was named to the 1990s All-Decade Team. He was named to five Pro Bowls and he was named First-Team All-Pro three times.

Boselli’s career was cut short due to a shoulder injury.

Just as he was the franchise’s first selection, he becomes the first player to go into the Hall of Fame from the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Enshrinement ceremonies are set for August 6 in Canton, Ohio.

USC’s NFL Hall of Fame Players

Boselli joins 13 other USC players now in the NFL Hall of Fame. The 14 total gives USC the most of any college program.

He joins Marcus Allen, Red Badgro, Frank Gifford, Ronnie Lott, Bruce Matthews, Ron Mix, Anthony Munoz, Troy Polamalu, O.J. Simpson, Junior Seau, Lynn Swann, Willie Wood and Ron Yary. Polamalu was USC’s most recent entrant, going in as a member of the 2020 class.
