Top JuCo Tight End Josiah Jefferson Flips Commitment From Utah to USC

USC hosted two official visitors the weekend the Trojans defeated Michigan 31-13 at the Coliseum. Junior college transfers CB Jakwon Morris from Northwest Mississippi CC and Southwestern College TE (and Utah commit) Josiah Jefferson.
Morris committed to USC a few weeks back and Jefferson announced his commitment to the Trojans on Monday (10/27).
“USC was amazing,” said Jefferson. “There’s no better education than a USC degree, amazing hospitality from the coaches, and the environment is fantastic. I had a wonderful weekend for sure.”
USC also hosted three-star Santa Margarita CB and Cal commit Jayden Crowder that weekend and offered him a scholarship. He’s also now a committed prospect. So, it was a grand slam official visit weekend for USC.

The 6-foot-5, 230-pounder had been pledged to the Utes since June, when he chose them over more than a dozen other reported offers. But after visiting Los Angeles earlier this month, he joins a Trojans class that ranks No. 1 nationally.
As for Jefferson, he is the No. 5 overall JUCO prospect in the 2026 class, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, an equally weighted average that utilizes all three major recruiting services. He also ranks as the No. 1 junior college tight end in the country.
