The USC Trojans are headed to the NCAA Baseball Tournament for the first time since 2015 and just the second time since 2005.

After going 35-21 overall, 18-12 in Big Ten Conference play and beating Washington in pool play of the Big Ten tournament, the USC Trojans got into the tournament as one of the “Last Four In.”

USC will head to the Corvallis Regional, hosted by overall No. 8 seed Oregon State. The Trojans are the No. 3 seed there and will play No. 2 seed TCU on Friday, May 30 at 12 pm PT. The game will air live on ESPNU.

Saint Mary’s is the fourth team in USC’s Regional.

It is a double elimination tournament to progress out of the regional into the Super Regional. Those take place from June 6 through June 9 and the winner of the Corvallis Regional will take on the winner of a Tallahassee Regional that features overall No. 9 seed Florida State, Mississippi State, Northeastern and Bethune-Cookman.

USC was led this season by two-way star Ethan Hedges, who was named All-Big Ten First Team and All-Defensive Big Ten Team as a third baseman. Hedges hit .343 with a team-high 74 hits, including 12 homeruns and 55 RBI. He also went 2-1 with nine saves and a 2.40 ERA as a reliever this year.

Other USC conference honor winners included Second-Team All-Big Ten relief pitcher Brodie Purcell, Third-Team starting pitcher Caden Aoki and second baseman Abbrie Covarrubias, and All-Freshman Team relief pitcher Andrew Johnson and utility player Augie Lopez. Aoki also made the All-Defensive team as the starting pitcher.
