Notes and takeaways

Running back Waymond Jordan is the huge name who suddenly appears as “questionable” today. He hasn’t played since suffering an ankle injury against Michigan. It would still be a bit surprising if he’s full go against Iowa, but the appearance as questionable could be positive news for the coming weeks.

Center J’Onre Reed left last week’s game against Northwestern late due to injury. But this is the first time in a while that season-opening starting center Kilian O’Connor doesn’t appear anywhere on the report. He’d be the easy answer at center if Reed isn’t fully 100%.

True freshman defensive tackle Floyd Boucard is also no longer questionable. He’s someone to watch today in the middle of the defensive line as USC will need all hands on deck against the Iowa running game.
