Notes and takeaways

There are two big ones with the questionable designation in this one in Paige and McRee. That was expected for Paige, who missed USC’s last game against Illinois due to an injury he suffered against Michigan State three weeks ago.

McRee is a surprise on the list and will absolutely be someone to watch during warmups. McRee has been a huge part of the USC offense this season and has rarely come off the field. The veteran tight end ranks third on the team with 12 receptions for 248 yards and has one touchdown. With Michigan’s outstanding edge rushers, having a tight end like McRee on the field to either help with pass blocking or serve as a reliable outlet for quarterback Jayden Maiava is critical. The Trojans are deeper at tight end this year than they’ve been previously, but head coach Lincoln Riley hasn’t really called on anybody outside of McRee and Walker Lyons this season.

True freshman defensive back Alex Graham hasn’t been available for the Trojans all season after suffering an injury just before the season opener.
