The pregame Big Ten Availability report ahead of the USC Trojans taking on the Purdue Boilermakers is out and we have the list and key takeaways from the Trojans listed.

USC players “out” for today:

Wide receiver Prince Strachan
Wide receiver Zacharyus Williams
Defensive back Prophet Brown
Defensive back Alex Graham
Kicker Caden Chittenden
Running back Bryan Jackson

USC players “questionable” for today:

None

Key takeaways from the availability report

The injury report looks very similar to last week. Defensive backs Prophet Brown and Alex Graham remain out. USC has used safety Kamari Ramsey in the slot plenty, and the Trojans’ coaches last week got a long look at Kevin Longstreet there.

The wide receiver position takes a hit with Zacharyus Williams and Prince Strachan both out today. The Trojans have turned to the tight end position as the No. 3 receiver spot this year. With two outside receivers sidelined, it could allow true freshman Tanook Hines more opportunities, or open things up for DJ Jordan or true freshman Corey Simms to make an impact behind him. The Trojans will obviously still rely heavily on Ja’Kobi Lane and Makai Lemon as the top two receivers.

Kicker Caden Chittenden remains out so walk-on Ryon Sayeri will handle kickoffs and field goals/extra points for the third game this year. He’s been perfect on kicks and has 18 touchbacks on 21 kickoffs.

Running back Bryan Jackson will miss his second game in a row. USC’s top two backs have been Waymond Jordan and Eli Sanders. Both will play significant roles today. Missing Jackson has allowed King Miller to take more of a role and last week USC used true freshman Harry Dalton a bit.
