USC Trojans land commitment from 2026 No. 1 overall prospect Saniyah Hall

The USC Trojans and head coach Lindsay Gottlieb keep rolling on the recruiting trail. On Friday, they landed a commitment from the nation’s No. 1 prospect in the 2026 class, Saniyah Hall.
The 6-foot-2 guard announced her commitment on ESPN.
“It felt like home,” she said after opening her jacket to reveal a USC shirt. “I loved all of my teammates. The girls there, they’re so fun to be around. Definitely Lindsay. I feel like, the coaches have high support. She’s definitely there to support me and I’ve built a relationship with her. She’s a great coach.”
Hall is coming off a phenomenal performance in the FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup, earning MVP honors. She led the US team in the final against Australia, finishing with 25 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and two blocks.
On a team alongside USC 2025 signee Jazzy Davidson, former USC guard Kayleigh Heckel and five-star UCLA signee Sienna Betts among other stars, Hall led the team in the tournament with 19.9 points per game and finished second behind Betts with 6.4 rebounds.

Hall was named the MaxPreps National Junior of the Year for her performance at Montverde Academy last year. This summer, she announced that she will transfer to SPIRE Academy in Ohio for his final high school season.
Gottlieb continues a dominant run when it comes to reeling in some of the nation’s top-ranked players, including JuJu Watkins, Kennedy Smith, Davidson and now Hall over the past four classes. All were five-star prospects and only Smith (ranked No. 6) was outside of the top two players in the nation.
