WeAreSC On3 5/26/22: Carson Tabaracci commits, Transfer Portal winners, and 100 days until kickoff

WeAreSC On3 is a daily three-point briefing recapping news and notes surrounding USC Athletics. Today, we take a look at Utah transfer Carson Tabaracci committing to USC, the Trojans being named the number one Transfer Portal winner by CBS Sports, and 100 days until the season kicks off.
Carson Tabaracci commits
On Wednesday night USC landed a commitment from Utah linebacker transfer Carson Tabaracci.
Tabaracci originally signed with Utah in December as a three-star prospect in the class of 2022. According to the On3 Consensus rankings, he was the No. 589 recruit in his class, and the No. 24 athlete.
After a successful first spring at Utah in which he impressed the coaching staff, Tabaracci elected to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal in April. The Trojans emerged as a top contender to land the young linebacker shortly after he entered the Portal, and he was on campus at USC for a visit this spring.

Transfer portal winner
CBS Sports recently released its winners and losers of this year’s Transfer Portal cycle. To no one’s surprise, USC came out as the cycle’s biggest “winner”.
After the Trojans went 4-8 in 2021, new head coach Lincoln Riley has significantly boosted the team’s roster through the NCAA Transfer Portal. By far the two biggest highlights of USC’s top transfer class have been star quarterback Caleb Williams and Biletnikoff Award wide receiver Jordan Addison.
100 days until kickoff
Thursday officially marks 100 days until the kickoff of the 2022 USC Football season! That is how close we are to the Trojans opening the Lincoln Riley era at the Coliseuem against Rice.
Let the countdown begin.
