Clemson Tigers defensive back transfer Andrew Mukuba is set to visit Texas this week, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. Bobby Burton of On Texas Football said that he believes the visit could be as early as Thursday.

Mukuba spent three seasons with the Tigers, making a major impact on the Clemson defense in the process. During that time, the Tigers went 29-10 with an ACC Championship. He was a freshman All-American in 2021.

In 35 career games at Clemson, Andrew Mukuba had 143 total tackles from his safety position. 4.5 of those tackles were for a loss and he had a sack. He also defended 16 passes and an interception during his time with the Tigers.

Andrew Mukuba played high school football at LBJ (Texas), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 123 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Mukuba has quickly become one of the most sought-after transfers of this cycle. Along with Texas, he has reportedly taken or scheduled visits with OklahomaOregonUSC, and Ole Miss as he continues to search for his next program.
