Ohio State transfer punter Jesse Mirco commits to Vanderbilt

Ohio State punter Jesse Mirco has committed to Vanderbilt after entering the NCAA transfer portal on December 30.

In his three seasons with the Buckeyes Mirco has appeared in 39 games and attempted 130 punts, accumulating over 5,000 yards of punt yardage and averaging 43.9 yards per kick during his time in Columbus. An impressive 55 of his punts have been downed inside of the 20-yard line and 31 of his punts have traveled 50+ yards, providing a potentially valuable asset to the Commodores’ roster.

Mirco is from Fremantle, Australia, kicking out of ProKick Australia where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 1,737 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
