Just a day after entering the transfer portal, Jabbar Muhammad is garnering some interest from high-profile programs. Oregon is in Dallas for a Saturday visit with the Washington transfer cornerback, and Texas is also among the teams in contact, according to On3’s Gerry Hamilton.

Muhammad was a key piece of the Washington defense this past season as the Huskies made a run to the College Football Playoff national championship. He led the team with three interceptions while adding 46 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks.

After entering the portal Friday night, Muhammad checked in as the No. 25 overall player in the On3 Industry Transfer Rankings. He was one of multiple Washington players to hit the portal after the departure of Kalen DeBoer, who is preparing to take over for Nick Saban as the next head coach at Alabama.

Jabbar Muhammad played high school football at DeSoto (TX) High School, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 1,064 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
