That all came a year after Campbell made 23 appearances during the 2023 campaign, a team high. As a freshman, he finished 2-1 with a 5.12 ERA and two saves.
In two years at Louisville, Kayden Campbell has logged a 6.41 ERA, throwing 39.1 innings and striking out 47 with 25 walks. Opponents have hit .266 off him in those two seasons.
Prior to enrolling at Louisville, Campbell was rated as the No. 2 left-handed pitcher and No. 5 overall player in Ohio and the No. 45 left-handed pitcher in the nation by Perfect Game.

Hayslip is a 6-foot-2 junior and two-time SEC academic honor roll member.
He has made relatively scant impact at Alabama, appearing in only a handful of games in each of his three seasons with the program.
Hayslip appeared in eight games with two starts as a rookie in 2022, batting .200 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored. He would parlay that success into a doubling of appearances the following year.
In 2023, Hayslip appeared in 16 games and made one start. He batted .211 and hit a grand slam, while notching six RBI, four runs and two walks.
But in 2024, his junior year, Hayslip’s appearances slipped to just seven games, though he did start two contests. He failed to record a hit in 11 at-bats, while he drew two walks as his only contributions at the plate.
