South Carolina INF Henry Kaczmar has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal with a do-not-contact tag, per On3’s Pete Nakos.

In 2025, Kaczmar played and started in 53 games for the Gamecocks. He hit for a .315 average with seven doubles, three triples, six home runs and 28 RBI. He was South Carolina‘s best player in SEC play, as he led the team with a .333 batting average and four doubles, two triples, five home runs and 17 RBI.

The Bath, OH native will be heading to his third school in four seasons, as he played his first two seasons at Ohio State (2023-24). Kaczmar played in 110 games in Columbus where he hit for a .307 average with 20 doubles, 14 home runs and 82 RBIs against Big Ten competition.

“A lot of my strengths aren’t things you’re always going to see on paper,” Kaczmar said back in January. “I feel like my baseball clock and my baseball IQ on defense are strengths for me. I give a lot of credit to my dad (Chris) for that because he was my high school coach. He taught me to be a hard-nosed ball player. I always wanted to be a right-handed hitter, but he made me be a left-handed hitter, and I thank him every day for that.”

Kaczmar’s stellar play against SEC competition however didn’t move the needle for South Carolina, which finished with a 28-29 (6-24) record in Paul Mainieri‘s first season as head coach. Its 29 losses were its most ever in program history, and it marked just the third time since 1999 that a Mainieri coached team has missed the NCAA Tournament (Carolina in 2024, LSU in 2011, LSU in 2007).

Following the disappointing season, a plethora of Gamecocks have entered the Transfer Portal. The entire list is below:
