Unless the line can protect or move people for a run the OC doesn’t have many play options.

We’re playing our backup QB. It would be a very different offense with Hayes.
We have a team that was talented enough to beat Oklahoma State by 14 points.
How is that not grounding when the QB just bounces the ball off of the OL?
Tulsa defense is playing ok. Not fantastic but ok.

That call on 52 was very questionable. We should’ve had that first down.

Those 2 comments are very related. OC not trusting QB limits the play calling.
You scheme your offense for the quicker players across the ball. What I see out of this offense is one of two possibilities:
1) The coaching staff is stubborn and does not want to change what they think their strengths are. Saying I want to go deep to the press leads to the team "pressing" to do it even when it's not there.
2)The coaching staff is so overmatched, they are frozen and call the same group of plays out of the sane look.
I see elements of both here as Arkansas threatens to punch it in with 28 seconds left

We need a Todd Starks 1971 type second half performance.
I wish we would give another QB a chance. I see no chance of winning with Williams. He’s playing like I thought he would.
Thing is, that first half could have been worse. The defense stepped up several times. Yes, they gave up some big plays but that was going to happen.
