If UK loses to South Carolina, then I am afraid Stein is no better than past UK coaches. I don't care if it is his first year, UK has the better team and a loss will be 100% on Stein.
South Carolina has lots of talent. The problem is they often can’t play well enough to overcome their head coach.
Imagine if Kentucky football got glazed like scar does every off season.

I may take some flak for this, but I really haven’t seen anything definitive that we’re so much better than them. We both have 2 easy wins over cupcakes and both got thrashed by Alabama with very similar scores. Our resume is currently a little better by having that extra win over A&M while they have a close loss to Mississippi State, but State arguably looks like the better of those two opponents so far if you ignore preseason rankings. Definitely feels like it should be a game we’re capable of winning, but a close line slightly favoring the home team doesn’t seem crazy to me given what both teams have shown so far.
Its a tossup game. They are at home so 3 points for that so basically even.
You keep saying we are better,, but we have lost to them for multiple years in a row now. You should thank Stoops for that instead of trashing a the new coach for something that hasn't happened yet. They have as much or more talent than we do, and their QB is going to be a problem.

Sellers could be a problem but he’s up and down so far, 6/4 td/int with three td’s coming against Kent St but he’s been solid in the past. Their running game worries me a little more, had over 200 yds vs bama. We have to play clean to win there because they’re definitely not pushovers.
Sellars has been up and down, and we'd better hope for down. When he's good, he's really good. I love our team, but I agree with you that South Cackalacky doesn't necessarily look worse than we do. They looked athletic vs Bama, just not great at executing.

Preseason polls are worthless. Every year they have teams ranked in the top 10 that don't even finish the season in the top 25.

I like our chances to win this game but anything could happen. We cant start like we did yesterday against South Alabama.
There are no cakewalks in the SEC. We're better up front on offense. Ill pretty much always bet on the better offensive line. Depth there concerns me, especially in the heat and it was a factor with Bama.
We wore down and we made some mistakes that killed us. But we outplayed Bama thru almost 3 quarters. They don't have as much drop-off between 1st and 2nd stringers on either side of the line and they did wear us down late.
USC will be hungry and a little desperate. If we can run the ball and control TOP, our offensive line will be why we can and why we win. It all starts up front in the trenches.
I agree that we've gotta slow down their run game and make Sellers beat us. A little pressure in his face can make a huge difference in that.

What was the reason IU was predicted to win 9 games, last year. Surely preseason predictions are never wrong? Right? Right?
Why bring up Stoops? But since you did, he is one of only 2 coaches to ever have a winning record against South Carolina, do we thank him for that also? Or just the last couple losses?
I think if we have more points on the score board than they do at the end of the fourth quarter, we've got a real shot to win the game.
S. Carolina has a better overall roster and a great home field advantage. It would be a really nice win year one, at their place, with less talent. This is a very losable game, why we are underdogs. A&M may only win a couple SEC games.

Kyle field is a nightmare for teams too and Kentucky didn’t let it bother them, if we can win there, we can at SC. We are rolling and they are crumbling and we owe them. I think we get it done.

USC’s star EDGE Dylan Stewart is suspended for the crap he pulled against bama. That should help assuming he isn’t reinstated before the game.
