North Carolina is #48. You must mean Virginia. Having lived there for 10 years, it's all the as$holes in the DC area. You can actually see the trail of egress coming from California across the country. ETA, what's up with North Carolina? I didn't know they sucked so bad.
I just think people do it on purpose now. No way MS is the "rudest state". It's not possible.View attachment 1463271

I've met some Rhode Islanders who alone could have affected their ranking.I’ve never been to Rhode Island but I can confirm Massachusetts.
I think you misread the chart.I just think people do it on purpose now. No way MS is the "rudest state". It's not possible.
Well we are probably 50th in reading comprehension....so there is that **I think you misread the chart.
I did, I automatically assumed it meant MS was the worst. Jumped the gun.I think you misread the chart.

I haven't had a lot of good experiences in Virginia either. Whoooooole lotta folks there who think they hit a home run and started on 3rd.North Carolina is #48. You must mean Virginia. Having lived there for 10 years, it's all the as$holes in the DC area.
I currently live in VA but in the Shenandoah Valley area and Richmond before that. It's 100% the DC area that would give it the #2 ranking.North Carolina is #48. You must mean Virginia. Having lived there for 10 years, it's all the as$holes in the DC area.
100% this. No 17n way this chart is legit with where it has Utah.Utah being red makes me think this chart is made up
I'm not following how it's a voting lines map? Some of the most politically different states are clustered very closely in rankings. At a close glance, it appears there may be some correlation between states that have a higher rates of new-comers and rudeness. That starts falling apart pretty quickly when you consider Texas, Arizona, Nevada, the Carolinas are some of the fastest growing states and Illinois and Ohio are losing people.I hope this doesn't turn into some full fledged politics ****-flinging competition.... but folks, that's a voting lines map. The states who are comfortable importing cultures vs the states who are not.
Anomalies to that statement might be Utah and Minnesota.
Yea. The geographic top 1/8th of that state gives the rest a bad name. Full of "I know what's best for you so shut up and sit down" types.North Carolina is #48. You must mean Virginia. Having lived there for 10 years, it's all the as$holes in the DC area.
Yes, there is a certain level of 'coldness' you must develop in urban areas.I have always thought rudeness goes along with population concentration. When you get in crowded situations and have to stand in line and stay in traffic for everything, you tend to have your patience tested. Becomes easier to become rude. NYC is totally different than Cooperstown in NY.
You will never be accused of cartophilia.ETA, what's up with North Carolina? I didn't know they sucked so bad.
That same conversation happens amongst groups of people in NY. Those people you see often have the same conversations. The difference is It's harder to break into the group in urban situations where in more rural areas they are more accepting of new folks.Yes, there is a certain level of 'coldness' you must develop in urban areas.
However there is another skill that is better developed in rural areas, and that is the art of conversation in general. You see the same people over and over and over, you have to obtain a certain level of social skills to do that.
I was gonna post the same thing. They may believe crazy stuff but mormons are the nicest people in the world. Maybe tied w canadians?Utah being red makes me think this chart is made up
Rhode Island isn’t even an island so you can’t expect much out of them.I’ve never been to Rhode Island but I can confirm Massachusetts.
Have they driven through Flowood on Lakeland? Scrolling your phone while blocking traffic must not be considered rude.Least rudest State in the Union
I agree. One of the nicest and most beautiful girl I ever dated was from Rhode Island. Surveys like this map definitely should be taken with a grain of salt. Was in Rhode Island in May for a week. Nicest people I’ve been around as a group in quite a while. Would move there for sure
