I don’t know the name of the place but it was huge. When we got back to the motel the manager said we were crazy for going there.Murphy Village?
WHY?10,000 feet+ on the Gornergrat in Switzerland on a ridge trail. I was about a quarter mile along, with multi hundreds if not thousands of feet of drop on either side, the ridge trail…and I started to be affected pretty heavily by altitude sickness. It was like being drunk, trail was 3 feet wide In spots. That was a scary 10-15 minutes back to the tourist area. In case you are wondering you can take a train, and that’s what we did, to get to that trailhead on the Gornergrat.

Why? It was absolutely stunningly beautiful, beyond spectacular. I really wanted to experience it as much as I could,…and I did. Look it up.WHY?
This one wins.Congo. Small village near the Congo River. Had to travel a dirt road through jungle every morning and evening to the helicopter launch pad.
