Rasmussen simply owns them. On like a historical level at this point. Forget a run…I’d just like a hit. It’s comical how much this dude dominates us.
Just wish we had a collection of professional hitters…guys who grind out ABs in a game like this and who change an approach to find a hit or two. Guys like Bernie and Jeter and Paulie and a couple others.

Stanton honestly didnt look that bad. Put two good swings on heaters, laid off junk out of the zone, etc

They had their ace on the mound and beat us 1-0. Need Cam to go get Game 2 and then we can show them how valuable it is to have four legit starters as Fried and Rodon dominate in NYC.
This is what has killed us in the post season for the past umpteenth years. We rely on home runs to win. You have to play some small ball at some point to win.
We just did it last week. Very doable. Let’s get to a Schlittler in Game 5 scenario. Or, hell, we could just let Cam, Fried and Rodon shut these punks down three straight.

Another RHP, do I assume lineup will stay the same. It worth noting that Rosario has a much higher average and SLG than McMahon does against RHP.

Dude…they got ONE oppo hard ground ball single. Cam has got plenty. We hit the ball much harder than they did in the first. But we also decide to play like an 8U rec team in the field.
Are you watching a different game than me? They are making contact on damn near every pitch by Cam. That's very un Cam like. Makes me wonder if he's tipping pitches. But their approach has always been to just put the bat on the ball. Defense is not helping him at all either.
We had Randal Grichuk early in the season, but designated his for assignment.
He then went on to bat .287 for the White Sox this year, an average that would've been the best on the Yankees.
I think we ARE cursed. We can't get a break. If Bellinger pulls that ball just a hair we're up 5-1.
Another 2 freaking errors. This is how you win games. You put the ball in play. We live for home runs and only have 1 real home run hitter. Jones should have caught that first ball and Grisham jogged after the next ball. We've given them this game but their philosophy is to just punch the ball in play. That's how they won 100 games. Pitching. Hitting. Defense. We have pitching but nothing else.
