Saturday (7/23) is the birthday of Slash. To celebrate, his most famous guitar line:
Give it a minute (a minute and two seconds to be precise):
One of the hottest jams I've ever heard in my life, during sunset on one of the hottest days in Oregon's history. Added bonus: naked pole guy in his glory.
You have to sit down for this one, take a load off in the shade. It's worth it for the journey. Enjoy the "Sunstroke Serenaders"

Slightly off topic, but it does have hot in the title:

Waiting for delivery of the Lyceum show from 72. Veneta is a great show, one of my favorites.
Agree and agree. I'm waiting on the four show vinyl porch-crusher. I had to empty my credit card points for that monster. On wow it's almost time for that. Gotta make room!
The RSD 4/8/72 Empire Pool show was surprisingly awesome as well.
Good for you. I jumped in on the Garden boxed set since I don’t have an excessive amount of early 80’s. Dave’s 43 from 1969 looks like it’s going to a treat. I imagine there will be a “Bear” boxed set in the future.
What has always amazed me about The Eagles is that, even allowing for their shifts in personnel, they are such good musicians that their live performances sound just the same (even better?) than their studio albums. The Felder/Walsh "dueling guitars" finish on Hotel California was pure music heaven, and don't forget that Henley is both the lead singer AND drummer (no easy feat). Many of his lyrics in the song have had an enduring life of their own. Definitely one of the all-time classics.
David Johansson is a talented guy. His role as Looney in “Let It Ride” is an all timer. I saw The Dolls at Irving Plaza around 2010. Johnny Thunders was long since dead, but Johansson and the gang were fantastic.
"Gonna Make you Sweat" Marsha Wash wants her song back...
