Good for you. I jumped in on the Garden boxed set since I don’t have an excessive amount of early 80’s. Dave’s 43 from 1969 looks like it’s going to a treat. I imagine there will be a “Bear” boxed set in the future.
What has always amazed me about The Eagles is that, even allowing for their shifts in personnel, they are such good musicians that their live performances sound just the same (even better?) than their studio albums. The Felder/Walsh "dueling guitars" finish on Hotel California was pure music heaven, and don't forget that Henley is both the lead singer AND drummer (no easy feat). Many of his lyrics in the song have had an enduring life of their own. Definitely one of the all-time classics.
David Johansson is a talented guy. His role as Looney in “Let It Ride” is an all timer. I saw The Dolls at Irving Plaza around 2010. Johnny Thunders was long since dead, but Johansson and the gang were fantastic.
