If you ain’t payin, you ain’t playin

But 1) it didnt. 2) This is a totally different era of college basketball down to how the NET ratings and Q1 wins dictate everything.

So, why did Tre Singleton leave?

So the NU network comes up with substantially less NIL than our P5 peers because our network is small and not sports crazed. BUT the NU network is so good and supports great athletes so well that they build massive careers that vastly outpace other grads? You’re full of ****. Everyone knows it.

So, why did Tre Singleton leave?

God you’re such an *******. Also, I’d wager that very, very few former student athletes are making $300k at 30 years old.

A couple thoughts on NU’s future in the age of NIL

I don’t think the draft is a real concern here. He’s a better athlete than QB. The NFL never invests a high pick in those guys. And he’ll command more money in college than his first NFL contract.

    Nicky Buckets

I get it, but “4th guy off the bench” is probably not the sell he’s hoping for. If Nick or Brooks can take off, then he’s got something.

College football is in huge trouble

What you’re advocating for here would require the NCAA to acknowledge them as employees. Which they will never, ever do unless legally forced

College football is in huge trouble

Oh course it shouldn’t be, and can’t. The reason players CAN be paid is because of a Supreme Court judgement. It’s not going anywhere.

How long until we have an NBA player who’s a major contributor/star we can get behind? No offense to the WNBA, but that’s not moving the needle for a typical basketball fan

    0-4

Don’t be ridiculous we will be favored in 3 of the games.

They scored 20 yesterday, to beat a BAD Maryland defense.

Yeah, it’s good business sense. But bad football sense.

Our athletic department requested this. Wanted to back load the schedule to get an extra home game at NRF.

Events lining up for NU CFP run

I really think it’s as simple as, sometimes you don’t play up to your full potential. Also, we’ve played a very weak schedule. Basically every team has turned out to be far easier than what we anticipated preseason. We’d executed well against inferior opponents to this point, so this was our...

Game Thread: No. 20 Northwestern at Oregon

NU getting the big ten to put their bye week in Week 2 is hurting us here. Yeah, we got an extra week of revenue at our shiny new stadium. But it’s a killer for injuries.

Game Thread: Northwestern vs. Iowa State (Exhibition)

Are you sure about that? They went 5-15 in Big Ten play. 2-13 in Q1 games. 2-5 in Q2 games! That’s a far, far cry from a tourney team. Even if the coaches didn’t optimize their roster, this wasn’t a team that missed the tourney on the margins. We weren’t even close.
