    Class B boys LJ record was broke at Districts last year. Very little wind. Doesn’t count. Then you have crappy weather at State Track in 2017.... so no chance to better the record there. With all those NSAA officials watching. Same place they had all the timing issues, under NSAA’s watch

    And thanks to the NSAA rules.... Records will only be broken at State Meet and other select meets. To qualify as a record..... there must be a wind meter and a NSAA official present. Girls LJ record was “broken” last year indoor, but was not allowed because there was not a wind meter present...WTF

    Yes Lawrence dominated that year. I believe the won State in FB and BB, Should have won state Track too, but had a kid get hurt between Districts and State. Also-- If I remember correctly, they had 7 or 8 kids on the D1 All State 1st teams (Offense and Defense).

    I agree. Go Back to 16 team playoff. Todays " Everyone deserves to go to State" attitude has watered down the playoffs. Give the 3-5 teams a participation ribbon and tell them to stay home.

    And don't forget.....the Giltner kids can show their Grandchildren their state playoff T-shirt. I wonder if NSAA makes much money. After poor attendance to blowouts and having to pay travel expenses, would be interesting to know the profit/loss for D1-2 1st round.

    D1 - D2 16 team playoff bracket

    I used same format that is used in C1-C2. Oneill got in by being district champ. Pierce beat Oneill 42-0. Pierce is staying home.

    Again, as discussed above. With 16, there will be teams left out. But at least it is not watered down with 3-5 or 4-4 teams. Think Pierce would have made noise in C-1? 6-3, only losses are to 3 of top 8 teams in state.1st time missing state since 1997.
