I’ve lived in Nashville for years but I very rarely go to the Vanderbilt area. Anybody have any suggestions for game day at Vanderbilt? Best place to try to park? Tailgating areas? Best place to grab a pregame drink? FWIW, I’m taking a friend who’s never been to an SEC game.
My two memories from that game are a State fan decking a BYU trash talker in the face outside of the west/home stands after the game and the a-hole "cheese with your whine" post game show caller. Jack or the producer or whoever hung up on him pretty fast and moved on as if nothing happened.
My wife is an MUW alum. We recently found a few M.S.C.W. (Mississippi State College for Women) postcards at an antique store in Bham. Very similar era to yours. Guy had hundreds of old postcards. I dug through everything in the Mississippi bin but no MSU cards. Already been picked clean I guess.
That's just depressing. I hope those jerks really have given up on their season. Hope their team is watching this garbage in the locker room too. What fair-weather fans. GTHOM.
I'm definitely looking for somewhere to watch the game. I went to the Corner Pub in brentwood for the Southern Miss game and there were only like 4 State fans there. I was kind of bummed. Maybe other weeks were better, I don't know.
Hi. Long time lurker, first time poster. This is my first football season living in Nashville. Any particular public place where alumni/fans gather to cheer on the maroon and white? If not, recommend me somewhere that's sure to have the game on.
