It really is amazing. Listen to any of Trump's interviews from more than a decade ago and you hear him say the same thing about our fiscal policies back then as he does today. Read a transcript from a Clinton campaign speech in 1992 and a Trump speech today and you will see the big policies (economy, crime, foreign wars) are very similar. Trump has a lot of old school Democrat in him.

I agree that Harris was NOT a good candidate. She completely FAILED on her border management. She had MANY flaws. However, the economy was improving and inflation had come down, other economic indicators were improving, the stock market was at an all time high, so there were some good things happening. Trump, on the other hand, continued to LIE to the American people to spew hate and discontent and DIVIDE this country like never before seen since possibly the civil war and he continues to do it today. He will say and do ANYTHING to get elected. He panders to the extremist points of view, aka MAGA. He insults our allies and praises our enemies. He is one of the biggest scoundrels ever to hold office. And I understand why West Virginians prefer Trump because he’s pro-coal/energy. And that’s good for the state. But it wasn’t too long ago that West Virginia was the bluest of the blue states under Byrd. And it’s still one of the largest welfare states in the country. People vote with their wallets and today, for West Virginia, that’s voting for a man who supports coal and completely disregards science and the FACT that global warming is a REAL phenomenon.
