I know it's probably just me but I have trouble listening to him talk. Something about his voice inflections and the way he enunciates words. I'm really not sure really why but it I just find him annoying.
Like he’s talking and has a mouth full of water: gulp gulp gulp it’s so beautiful. These souls and my sissy a ss style of coaching it’s truly tremendous what the kids do. How did we end up with Cal on steroids without the wins? Good fkn grief

I love the man for what he did as a player but I think many of us realize he’s in over his head. His coaching ability fits a place like BYU because expectations are relatively low so when you are mid there, the fans love you.

Mitch Barnhart has tried for a long time to make our MBB Program a has been, He's finally succeeded. #UCK BARNHART!!!!!
The only way there is a chance is if he loses out. No program in the country would fire a guy after two years unless things were much worse on or off the court.
He should have been fired at MSG, at Bridgestone and at Vandy.

Given Mitch's track record, I wouldn't use your money to bet on him having private conversations with BP. That would be totally out of character.
Someone thinks Mitch is going to pull Pope aside and interfere with his day. Lol.
Mitch has said over and over he does not get involved in the coaching and game themselves. Past financial things (which is all he cares about), he’s not pulling Mark aside to talk about anything. I just sometimes cannot understand I guess some just don’t pay attention but damn it’s been 23 years with the guy man.
What’s probably going to happen is the money is going to dry up and he’ll be forced out. He’s probably after next season when he splutters medi says hot seat the rest of the people turn and he’s let go.

Mitch will be gone by the time basketball season rolls around again next year. Confirmed again by Matt last night who knows what he is talking about on this kind of stuff. That’s why regardless of how year 2 ends, year 3 is a put up or shut up year for Pope. New ADs typically like to make sure they have their major programs running in the direction of their own vision. Seats always get a little hotter when a new AD comes on board. We all have heard that Marc Hill wanted Pope, but none of that will matter when he’s the main man in charge and there’s an opportunity to cut the cord and start anew should fans be in favor of that direction 14 months from now.
