Totally agree and totally satisfied with Pope and the team. Thing is they could, with a few good bounces and a taste of luck, been 27-4 should have beaten Clemson, Ohio St, GA, BAMA at Rupp, Ark, Tex,

What an ending to Coach Pope's Patchwork Rollercoaster Cats - in the regular season ! ...

and we're not even finished yet, looks to me, ladies and gentleman, is that ...

this is just YEAR ONE under Coach Pope, we're just getting started, and it's a scary thought that this might be his most undertalented team he might ever have here at Kentucky, and to have come through such adversity this year ..... and we're heading into the SEC tournament after the SEC had it's best conference year IN HISTORY.

Picked to finish 8th in the conference, preseason #23.

I don't think so. Very pleased with the regular season and a historic and even historically great one it has been.

win #2,400+ and counting
still ahead of Kansas in all time wins
8 wins ties NCAA record for most wins vs. top 15 teams (ties 92 dUKe and IU)

Very proud we've got our ten loss or whatever the hell it is they stuck it to us this year losses we got. We somehow survived the road circus atmospheres of the SEC and the brutal welcoming party. We're tried and tested.

Give 'em hell Cats ! win baby !

C-A-T-S ! cats cats CATS !
Go Big Blue !

This is the funnest 10 loss season I can remember. A lot frustration throughout but no shortage of fun. It’s going to get a lot more interesting, buckle up!

U guys talking about predicting 21-10, 20-11, or 22-9 ending up getting pretty close but there is one BIG “X” factor that makes you not so accurate. You weren’t guessing that record based on 1000 injuries during the season. Fact is, if we didn’t have those, we’d have been more like 24-7, 25-6, or even 26-5.

Is this the best 10 loss team of all time? :D
It does make me wonder. We will probably have 11 losses going into selection Sunday. Wonder what’s the highest an 11 loss team has ever been seeded . I believe we get a 3 seed and the answer is…….us .

I don’t believe anyone knew just how good the sec was going to be either. I certainly didn’t.

Kentucky & Pope : 21 - 10
Arkansas & Cal - 19 - 12

11 SEC teams with 20 + wins at the end of the regular season this year, and CCC isn't coaching one of them. It would be sticking in our collective craw if Cal had coached here this year. I am so grateful he did not.

I am so happy we can put CCC in the rear view and move forward with Coach Pope. Great way to move on, having even lost to Arkansas this year. We'll get them again. Just win, baby.

I predicted 8 losses and a 3 seed in the SECT as well as the NCAAT in the preseason. Considering how awesome the conference was this year, we did great. Outstanding, actually. It's been even better than my own optimistic hopes.

I still think we will win 2 games in the NCAA tournament, and actually now, I think we can even make an elite eight with a break. That would make for one hellofa good season to build on, if you ask me.

Moving on from Coach Cal this way, so far ?

priceless

We’ve never had this hard of a schedule that I could remember. So the losses aren’t bad losses. I predicted 9-9 sec with anything better than that being a success. So I’d definitely call 10-8 in conference play with this team a success
