Holy ****...about 30 years later, I'm just now realizing that Issac Holt was from MS and played against Jerry Rice. I remember that Valley - Alcorn game being a big deal. Remember seeing Jerry Rice. Forgot or didn't know about Holt. Wow.

For all the hellacious talent that has come out of MS, why the hell didn't we get very many of them...

But what an awful list. That list reads like a list made by a 20 year old with about 10 seconds of feedback from Google or an older guy at the CL.

Yeah, that 2012 OM UT game will certainly go down in the history books as one of the best football games to ever be played in the State of Mississippi.

Am I missging something here? Why on earth are the Bears celebrating what should have been a 50+ point margin of victory? Tyrone Nix never gave up 66 points to ANYONE.

I know. I know. Win the party.

And to answer your question, no, we are not sure that Talty is not a 10 year old girl.

It says most anticipated. So, what is the criteria for most anticipated? Spread a bunch of lies and rumors with zero substance to make your program look like something it is not? Yeah, I would say that UT/OM 2012 should be #1 then.

Y'all got skull drug by an average at best Texas team. What a joke.

Worthless. Not only does he miss the biggest game in our history, he includes a 30 point blowout over it because he got schoolgirl giddy that an actor may or may not have been in attendance. What a fool.

Even if he's talking about just "hype" or whatever... I can think of multitudes of games from both schools that were hyped as much or more before I'd pick one that was hyped because a celebrity may have been in attendance.

OK, so why was it so "anticipated"? Average to below average UT team coming to Oxford to play against a team that won 2 games last year? I was very unimpressed then and I am very unimpressed now.

What a joke

Looks like someone enjoys their SWAC. Regardless.......

1999, he got right.

1992 and 1994 State vs Alabama are probably two of the most anticipated games I can ever remember for State. Maybe 81 and 91 in Tuscaloosa are in there. 92 and 94......We were 7-2 both years and I believe they were undefeated one year and one loss the other year. They were good and we were good. Those games were hyped. The student section was so packed...the isles were completely full ...I saw some girls sitting in their dates laps.

2000 vs Florida. Almost as anticipated as much as the 92 and 94 Bama games. A close fourth behind 92, 94, and 99.

ore anticipated than the 1998 Egg Bowl.

Sherrill had a couple years where we were expected to compete for the SEC West. I remember one year in the early 90's, everybody had Bama @ Starkville week circled on the calendar. The CL comes out that Sat morning in 3 inch headlines say ITS HERE!, referring to gameday.

UT-TSUN was not a highly anticipated game except for the rarity that a good OOC school plays in Mississippi (or at any other SEC campus for that matter). Nobody, not even TSUN homers, thought TSUN had a chance. I have no doubt they anticipated the party, but that's it.
