120 Club Meeting August 5th with AD Selmon

We will have a 120 Club meeting on Tuesday afternoon August 5th. Our guest will be Athletic Director Zac Selmon.

Our meeting will be at the Sparkman Building (1st building on the left inside the gate) at The Mississippi Agriculture Museum.

The social will begin at 6:00 PM, we will eat about 6:30 PM, and Zac Semon will speak about 7:00 PM.

120 Club dues for 2025 of $225 are due at this meeting for all members that have not paid previously.

This will be a MEMBERS ONLY MEETING. New Members are welcome and a first time guest can attend for a guest fee of $50.

What is the 120 Club?

When it started it was 120 men paying $120/year for meals and drinks and MSU related speakers i.e. coaches, AD's, radio announcers, etc. It's moved around some but been around for a long time, at least 20+ years. When I regularly went it was out at Cindy's Fish House on HWY 471 and they had happy hour, then the catfish meal, and a speaker would start near the end of the meal. No media were allowed and it kept it where the speakers were a little more willing to say what they wanted instead of being quoted or video being made. It met maybe 7 or 8 months out of the year. Prices have gone up naturally but I went as a guest I suppose about 3 years ago and it was still a good time.

The 120 Club has been around since the late 70's. It usually meets 6-8 times per year on a week night. The coaches usually visit during their offseason. We had Lemonis in December, Lebby in July, Charlie Winfield & Terry Prentice from the Athletic Department in March. Food & Drinks are provided. Food is usually catered by Penn's - they serve tea. The Club provides beer, wine, liquor, and a few mixers (coke, diet coke, sprite, tonic water, etc. All the members are some combination of MSU grads, Bulldog Club members, multiple sport season ticket holders. We don't allow any media unless a member of the media is our guest/speaker.

The 120 Club also has a meeting scheduled with 9/17 - Chris Jans will be our guest for this meeting.
