I wish he would resign tonight. This is embarrassing for our program.
There is no fix to this team. We have no go to scorer to help in the clutch. We have not one consistent 3 point shooter. There is not one part of the game that we excel at.

How did he sign such a poor roster? Forget injuries all these guys are getting paid so Pope totally cannot evaluate talent.
Well we can’t get anyone to come here even with all that money thrown around. There’s a reason for that. I don’t know what it is, but nobody wants to play for Pope.
sadly he will get another year because he isnt a drunken moron like BCG. but with zero talent coming in next year, it will be another total portal remake. and given what he has produced so far i dont think the results will improve that much.

Big difference in portal 5th yr SR's( Robinson ,Brea, Butler etc.) and portal soph's( Kam).
national and local media love pope and they will carry his water for a long time. i never understood the thought process he was some great Xs and Os coach. even last year when we were fully healthy, teams would adjust and stop our initial action. in the 2nd half a lot of our action was just let amari take a guy from the top of the key and make a play. it worked more often than not because he was a bit unique in his size, handle and passing. but really anyone can stop pope's offense.

It’s pretty telling that BYU got better when he left.
If we’re lucky boosters will encourage him to leave if he doesn’t turn it around. That or he’s graceful enough to realize he’s in over his head and leaves. If Pope misses out on every major recruit going into next year, there’s no point bringing him back.
Pope will never sign a portal class as good as the first one.

If he can't get Stokes and Collins next year's team won't be any better.
Not to mention the goals will increase. At a minimum he would need to go to an elite 8. Be the best or 2nd best team in the SEC. None of this well we are a top 4 or 5 SEC team and win 1 or 2 SECT games.

why do people say missing JQ is missing a starter. he has never even practiced as a starter and may never play a single game for us. Jalen played what, 2 games for us and will also probably never play for us. Mo shouldn't be starting at all, but probably will because we are so bad.
$22 million dollars says, there’s ZERO excuses for any possible negative scenario! Pope is simply in over his head! His prior coaching record is not an anomalous fluke!
I would estimate that at least 10 million of the 22 million was sitting on the bench not playing That's not including what they might have paid Hawthorne or the 6 minutes that he played Johnson who probably got at least a million or two himself.
So in actuality I probably would say you had $12 million of players not playing and it's hard to argue this isnt correct .
