the vast majority of transfers have to sit a year, withe the exception of grad students which are few. What ray needs to get a fourth year is to put a better team on the floor next year.
Having a transfer sit around for a year doesn't help him ... next year.

6'3" guard who can supposedly shoot... I think he's worth taking a chance on.
As far as transfers, it would be nice, but I'm not sure that avenue is currently available to us. Logic says that a transfer in most cases is looking to make a change to improve his situation, and our program right now doesn't exactly fit that condition. Especially in the case of a proven commodity.
Plus, I know no official contact is allowed yet, but wouldn't coaches usually already know at this point through back channels if they're in the running for a potential transfer?

If/when our coaching job comes open again, I hope Stricklin will look at the assistants at perpetual winners like C.B. McGrath or Hubert Davis at North Carolina.
Wojo at Duke would be a slam dunk
He wouldn't stay over 5 years, but we would vastly improve in those 5 years because he would work hard at all aspects of a head basketball coach because he would want to move up in the coaching ranks....
Not saying Ray isn't or wouldn't but Wojo will be a star one day in the coaching ranks.

But neither is coach k. Sooner or later he'll get tired of being an assistant and get an offer he can't turn down, kind of like muschamp except that theres no way k turns out like Mack brown.
Do you seriously think Duke will offer that job to a career assistant without going through an A-List that includes the games top coaches?
I don't see Duke doing that unless a couple of guys like Brad Stevens turn it down.

I honestly think they will do whatever K tells them to do. He has been so loyal to his former players that I would not be surprised for him to lobby for Wojo to be named Coach in Waiting when he knows he is in the last year or two. But I also thought Collins was going to stay and be that man, which I interpreted that he knew K was nowhere close to hanging it up
