Any remaining major conference unbeaten should be ranked in the top 10. There will be plenty of time to demote us later if we or Oregon State turn out not to deserve it.
Nonetheless, we'll be ranked #4 at worst if we beat Bama, behind Oregon, Florida, and Notre Dame (if they all stay undefeated)

The six teams ranked immediately in front of us all have one loss.
You can make an argument against us saying we haven't played anyone, but then take a look at a team like Georgia who offers no better wins than we do while still having a blowout loss and yet they are ranked two spots above us.
It's all based on a name and we don't have that. Slowly developing it, but we don't have it yet. Same reason why so many still get us confused with Ole Miss.
We won't get any more respect until we beat a team like an Alabama or an LSU. Good news is we have them on the schedule so we have the opportunity. Win the big games and the rankings will take care of themselves.

And that's what really pisses me off about preseason polls. Preseason polls are the least-informed polls, but they carry heavy weight throughout the season.
