You may as well get used to that. There are some good posters up here - but 1A NCPreps is mostly dominated by deep west posters. If you’re east of Winston Salem you’ll never get accepted in their click.

Don’t know about Tarboro but I know ER didn’t petition to be put in 1A. They are the only 1A football playing team in the 2A PAC7. Played a 2A/3A schedule. Will be this way for next four years.

I don't blame ER or any other school they can only play in the classification or conference they put them in. But I do have issues with the NCHSAA new rules on classification seems it should be on ADM only I haven't figured out what the 3 year average of a schools Well Fargo cup points and their ISP number each counting for 25% of your realignment score has to do with your classification. Polk and Mtn Heritage are the same size 614 but Polk's Wells Fargo points were higher so they move up to 2A and MH drops to 1A.
I mean no offense to ER again they can only play in what the NCHSAA assign the school I don't think any school asked to be put in the class they were put in, just seems odd they'd make a formula that puts a school of 671 is in 1A while one with 534 is in 2A but again that's on the NCHSAA not ER.
ER ADM is much smaller now however is still over 600. The formula as you stated includes percentage for those receiving assistance and/of free lunch. With the diversity of students that is around 40!%. Not sure why that is part of formula but for some reason it is.
The 671 came from the ADM they used for the realignment. I haven't seen the new ones for this year and I don't suppose that NCHSAA will release one because they don't have to each year now that there's no A AA playoffs.
All that matters is what size you are when they take realignment numbers.

ER has less than 650 and it’s dropping. Tarboro has 1A numbers as well. Neither a fault that the NCHSAA dropped the subdivisions, which I am a huge advocate and supporter of. So ignore the clown. There’s always a few on here.
I'd like to see the final numbers just out of curiosity kinda wonder who was on the bubble of moving up or down. Looks like East Surry overall sports success bit them with a ADM of 588 they finished 10th ,3rd & 4th in 1A in the Wells Fargo cup points in the years I believe they used. Mt Airy finished 3rd one of those years wonder if they had 20 or 30 more students if they would have been moved up to 2A.
I just liked to have been in the room when they came up with the formula and the reasons they gave for the change.
I understand it for all other sports but its silly to use this for football.
School classification should be determined by the population of the area that the school gets to draw students from

I'm gonna give credit where credit is due. Draughn played a pretty decent game on the offensive end. Their receiving core came to play. Multiple great catches. Daylin Pritchard, in particular, had an awesome game. The "other" Wildcats did a nice job exploiting mismatches. Elijah Tillery's not a bad QB. Nigel Dula's a hard runner. Dula's going to be tough to deal with the next couple of years.
That Draughn defense though............less than stellar. It was almost laughable how easily ER was scoring at times. Draughn had NO answer for Elias Alston or Nyheim Lilly in open space. It might as well have been me trying to tackle those two out there.
ER did a nice job establishing the run early on. Malachi Letterlough scored the first TD. After that, Lilly broke off two beautiful TD runs to put ER up 21-0. Alston caught at least two TD passes and had an awesome punt return for another TD.
All in all, a fun performance to watch. However, ER's going to have to tighten up on a few things before Murphy comes to town.

Good analysis Chute. Defense will have to tighten up. They look to get a little bored out there at times. Offense pretty much scores as they please barring penalties. Been a little bit of an issue all year.
And Mt. Airy is young.

Funny story the Russian Razorbacks we're brought into graham county back in the early 1900s to a lodge on the Skyway. About 5,500 ft. It was also the first place to have a phone here. A rich guy from out of here owned it and had Bison Elk Razorbacks etc from hunting.
Long story short. All the animals evidently got killed or got loose. Only the razorback made it. They have spread from here all over the mtns. You can look this up. It's fact. Anyway sorry for the history lesson.
