Big time SEC game today. We played great for the most part but lost to a good team. The fake punt was a balls of steel call & we had all the momentum. The fumble TD on the next play would have broken most teams but we fought back hard. Terrible clock management inside 2 minutes by both coaches. Just came up a bit short in OT. But proud of the team & coaches. We coulda shoulda woulda won that one. But if we play like this we’ll get 6 wins & a bowl game.

Games like that sting like hell, but I’ll take it. We went toe to toe with a legit SEC title contender for 60+ minutes, and I walked away impressed with this team.
There are just two things sticking in my crawl at the moment
1) Shapen has a pretty clear ceiling, and it ain’t very high
2) The game took nearly 4 hours before we ever even started OT

Mostly agree. But I dint think Tennessee will be a legitimate SEC contender. They’re a good team but they e got some flaws. Sharon is what he is. But he’s the best we’ve got. And better than a lot of QBs we’ve had. And yes. These games take way too 17ing long to play.
It feels hopeful for the first time in a while. I think there’s a good chance we are spent for now and go get our clocks cleaned in College Station next week. But I feel like Lebby has shown enough to get buy in our from fans for the time being. We are moving in the right direction, today made that plainly obvious. We aren’t there yet. But we have made huge stridoes from the low lows of the last couple of years.
Now the question becomes can we survive the war of attrition with injuries and find a couple more wins.

Honestly, we've come much farther from last year than I thought was possible. I'm happy for this staff and the players. Not gonna do anymore bitching tonight (except about the beatches on here).
Agree. Bottom line is we were 1 play away from winning this game & 1 play away from losing the Arizona St game. We played 2 legitimate playoff contenders and gave both of them all they wanted and more and split the games. I never would have thought that was possible 6 weeks ago.

Sucks to lose a game we should have won but overall I felt a hell of lot better about our team than after watching any game the last two years. How they respond next week will tell the tale. I definitely don't feel too bad after buying this mini helmet on ebay.

Lebby is the best caller of fake punts in our history. Second year in a row we’ve had a successful one. Mullen can’t hold his jock strap in the fake punt department. lol
