Offense not looking so good in a spring game type effort

We can hang our hats on the fact that we scored first.

So, O-Line is suspect. Have an immobile QB. We are not utilizing our RBS, or TES (If we have one). Questions at WR … can our Coach mix it up and do dual backs, slants, screens, KT, or just anything that may throw the CULT off? I don’t make almost 5 million a year, but does that not come up as a Coach? When does the offensive game plan change?

Then again, maybe we're just playing a team that everybody with a pulse knew was a lot batter than us on their home field in their massive hone stadium.

Maybe the analysis is that simple.

True that. When Shapen has 10+ seconds in the pocket, he is damn good.
Absolutely, how much time does he need? O-line is not protecting. So ……. Do something else. Shapen is not doing the job, make an adjustment. It’s not gonna get easier from here on out!! Or …. At least try to do something different.

Man... look how good a slightly mobile QB looks running out there

Giving the ball to the transfer Craver, insult to injury, and of course he yaps his trash mouth like the classy man he isnt

When we were running the ball and mixing in the pass, we had success. We got away from that and we are getting our *** kicked.

The Kamario stunt COST us this game. Our OL is shot without Reese.

Shapen can throw it if given a normal amount of time. The OL is the problem. They suck

You dumb 17’s, Shapen is fine when given time. A ****** OL will make any QB look like ****.

THE OL IS THE PROBLEM
But tonight he doesn’t have all the time in the world. Sooo, why not switch things up a bit and go with some quick hitting read option and play action off it with Kamario. Sure i like Shapen when given a lot of time like you said. But when absolutely nothing is working, you have to attack differently. Like I’ve always said, a niche offense more option based neutralizes and offsets the talent gap on the lines.

The stare down by Thompson down 28-9. Then the kicker said I don’t any part of that, left the holder the die alone.

Not playing Bothwell all the time is a major problem. He’s the better back. 17’n play him and run him and mix in the pass.

That is what works. We didn’t do that

With Libby's hard headed play calling behind a D2 Oline, this is a 0-8 SEC Team. Y'all can start another "available coaches" thread again.
As predicted by sensible people. We have already beaten what I thought we would do this year. In my book Lebby is a coach of the year candidate. I predicted 2-10 (0-8) again. Yall just have to come to terms with what the Mike Leach era did to us. Many of us predicted this….but we had no idea that the entire fabric of college sports would change as it did almost over night. The Mike Leach era, through no fault of his, has totally destroyed MSU football. I blame John Cohen for being the lazy bastard that only cares about baseball that he is. Thank God Auburn took him off our hands when they did. I’m 61, I do not expect to live to see a real revival in football. since we lucked up and got a rival to take Cohen off our hands maybe I’ll be surprised.

Shapen is slightly above average but his flaws are exaggerated behind this line against that kind of DL.

I agree that so would have at least tried a series going with the Dak offense using Taylor just to see if we could pound them like we were in the 1Q.

The difference is this game was ultimately their DL advantage and our lack of ability to get any kind of pass rush.

I have to chalk this one up mostly to talent gap. We had some chances to put them on their heels in the first half and just couldn’t make some plays

Here’re come the garbage points and stats. Fools gold
will they keep Vegas happy? probably not, even though ole Saban tried to up the betting at the last minute

What is becoming more and more obvious with aTm is that Jimbo WANTED to get that hot fire retire. The same thing Dabo is doing now.

What is it they say? You can learn from losing? Had a nail bitter last week. You go 1/9 on third down tonight, and your offense looked lack luster. Second half was just a different ball game. So ….. whats take away?
