then I can't see the NCAA committee leaving us out because the SEC deserves more than 3 bids. Maybe this puts Virginia Tech out because the ACC doesn't deserve 7 bids and VT has a terrible non-conference resume.

The SEC is absolutely a four bid league and no way the ACC deserves 7 teams. Vitale said he expects them to get six. Hopefully he is right.

That being said lets just take care of business tomorrow.

Oh and 17 you UTEP and Utah State. </p>

it is pretty underwhelming. We have 2 common opponents: Ole Miss and Houston. We were 3-0 against them and UTEP was 1-3 against them. I doubt the committee will really look at that though and UTEP has agood RPI. The consensus seems to be that they are in.

might be left at home. I know they have a pretty high RPI and SOS, but they're 1-6 against the top 50.

They played a tough schedule, but lost to everyone. I know they won a regular season PAC10 Championship, but I'm not sure they're in.

20's. Does anyone want to explain to me how the fuckthat is so? They have two good wins and the rest were against their crappy conference. It's really unbelievable. Plus, those guys don't pass the eye test.

but it's been said many times that the committee does not look at conference affiliation at all.

They won't look down at the last few spots and say, we need to take Florida or MSU because the SEC can't only have 3 bids.

They'll look at your individual resumes, and if they stack up better than say a Minnesota, Rhode Island, or whoever it is that's fighting for that last spot with you, you'll get in. If not, you'll be NIT bound regardless of how many other SEC teams are in. It really is all about your individual resume.

the UTEP Miner 17ers lost today. I hope the committee looks deep past the RPI. Do a head to head or common opponents if it comes down to the last few bubble teams.

Remember, Missouri State has been left out with an RPI of 21 a few years ago. So, it could happen!

You'd have to be a little gullible if you really didn't think that they looked at conferences and how many teams from each conferences are making it in.
