And we won! I figure if I'm going to acknowledge the 17 up, I better acknowledge the game winner. Nice job by Slaughter there....and that guy plays to win. That snap throw he made to get the double play was a thing of beauty. He makes his fair share of mistakes, but there's no denying the effort.

That's the one position that touches the ball more than anyone and is expected to be perfect every time. It's impossible. Sure, many times it is the catcher's fault, but may times it's not. And no one cares. "Just catch the damn ball" is all you hear. It's the toughest position out there and so few can actually play it well. Very few.
