I agree Bost is the best when he is on the court. Anybody can see that. I just hold him accountable for missing 14 games. We needed him those 14 games. That is my point. Guys don't help us when they aren't on the court. Period.

As I said in my original post, Benock sucks. He should be at Delta State. However, at least he shows up and plays (as bad as it is).

My problem is I don't like this team. 80% of the starting lineup has been suspended. Imagine fielding a starting football team with 18 starters (80% of 22) who had been suspended. My criteria is <17> the sumbitches who can't stay eligible and out of trouble.

I think he was being sarcastic too, because as the Vanilla Gorilla should know, white players can only contribute by being smart, scrappy, or a gym rat...

Times have changed and I guess passed your old *** by. It is hard to field a team in college these days without having players with baggage, and it's not just basketball. Just look up north to the bears in football and basketball. Being a lower tier SEC school we have to take chances on some players, the risk is worth the possible reward.

He is that important.

He is the fuel and fire in one.

And saying he is accountable for missing those 14 games, I don't agree with totally. Thats the gosh damn head coaches job. Quick hurry there is a hole in the fence, a sheep mightescape and get killed by a wolf, or he might return. No, Im the master herder and I control where my sheep go, I patch it up.Coach knew the rules and has to send the memo, thetext message....the 17'nsmoke signals. </p>

Stans freaking flew out to see him to get him to pull his name, what more do you want him to do?

And he still didn't get his name out of the pot in Time. So the plane flight saved half his season? Wow thats smart.

Youinformkids what the rules are so you don't have to get on the plane, its that easy.

You really think Stans flew on a plane to tell Bost when the deadline was? You really think Bost didn't know all along when the deadline was?

the thread from gravedigger saying that we are never good at rebounding and defense. I honestly don't know what some of these people have been watching the last 14 years.

To think Im being serious. Just like !$$#@%%*%# wasn't worried about loosing Dee....Just like Dee is not our best player.

Its amazing that we got him back.

Stainzdidn't seem too worried about losing his point guard, though, with what he said is depth on the perimeter for next season with incoming point guard Brian Bryant expected to take over the position.

It's funny, I happened to read Bryant's recruiting report while browsing recent classes last night, and I'd forgotten that he read to be a WHOLE lot better than he's turned out. I finally remembered why I thought he was going to be an adequate replacement at the point back when it was looking like we wouldn't get Dee back. I guess that's just the difference between juco and D1 competition. Still, he's a solid backup and I'm more comfortable with him than I was with Twany... he just doesn't need to be in the game when we have a chance to tie on a dead shot clock.

As for Benock, he's not terrible. He's not great either, although he might be if he just didn't hesitate on almost every playmaking opportunity put in front of him. I'd call him our best on-ball defender if he didn't always seem to be giving up cheap fouls; maybe he is even despite that.

I consider arguing that Dee directly hurt us with the 14 missed games to be a moot point. I think the only alternative is that he's playing in Europe right now, because I have little doubt he fully intended on going pro at or at least not long before the withdrawal deadline. Arguing that him not getting into this mess at all is not a realistic alternative in my opinion, as we have no idea when he made the decision that he was going pro. Out of what I consider the only two viable options, we're lucky he chose to change his mind and come back. At that point, the 14 games are outside of his control (the 9 games obviously and the additional 5 because the reason he didn't go to school in the spring is because he didn't think he was coming back). Sorry if that doesn't make much sense or seems a little contrived.
